La Jolla began to negotiate with us in November, 2009. I received one half of my earnest money downpayment in December of 2009. I received the other one-half of my earnest money downpayment in January 2010. I closed my PROFECO case in January 2010, after receipt of my final payment. It took over two years to receive reimbursement of my earnest money down payment of $6175. I wrote to every US agency, including my elected officials, for assistance in my plight, all to no avail. I even reported Bank of America to the Comptroller of the Currency, for the obvious conflict of interest between me as a consumer customer and Bank of America's partnership agreement with La Jolla's bank, Santander Serfin, again all to no avail. It was the Mexican Federal government who came to my aid. I will be forever grateful to PROFECO, in assisting me in obtaining justice.
This sales experience has taught us to never enter into any business agreements outside of the US, without legal assistance.
