Do you have doubts about what an auction will do. Well, consider this, they aren't much different than a normal ad.

1. You specify a minimum price, just as you would if advertising, so you aren't at risk of giving away the farm. This is probably the most unrecognized issue with an auction. Many believe that if you auction your timeshare, you're giving up control of how much you sell or rent it for. This is not true. So long as you set your minimum price at an acceptable level, you can't go wrong.

Of course, it may make sense to consider letting the auction run its course, since the whole idea is to generate momentum and a growing interest in the unit you are trying to rent or sell.
