How To Write a Review

Someone asked me today how to write a review. Here are a couple of quick steps to help you get your review online quickly and easily.
1. You have to get to the resort review page first. There are a lot of ways to do this. CHOOSE ONE!

• From the classified resort page click on "Views and Reviews of ...your resort name". Clicking on this link will bring you directly to the resort review page.
• Browse to the resort page you want to review.
  • Go to the Resort Review Index Page:
  • Choose either US Resorts or World Resorts this will open up another index page. Choose the state or country where the resort is located. This will open up another index. Choose the city where the resort is located.
  • Finally click on the link (it is the resort name) and this will take you to the resort page.

2. Now that you have made it to the resort page, look to the bottom right of the small window with the resort name in it. There is another link. It is labeled "Post a Review". Click on this link.

• The page that appears has several sections:
  • Pros: Note the good aspects of this resort if any, or None if there are none. You MUST input some text in this field.
  • Cons: Note the bad aspects of this resort if any, or None if there are none. You MUST inut some text in this field.
  • Review: Write your review in this box. You can make is as long or short as you would like.
  • There are other fields and choices like rating, price paid, etc. These are optional, but will make your review more complete.
• When you are finished click on Submit at the bottom of the page. That's it! We'll quickly add the review to the feeds for Yahoo and our classified ads pages.
• We encourage you to use "My Yahoo!" to add links to the resort review page and the classified ads page to help boost the popularity of these pages in the search engines.

Just a reminder for those interested in posting a review. Please make sure to complete the Pros, Cons, and Review sections. Only reviews that have these fields completed will be included in our RSS feeds. If there are no Pros or Cons, simply put "None".

How do you decide which Resorts to review? We stayed at Lawaii Beach Resort in Poipu on Kauai last December but it isn't in your list of Resorts. It is a Gold Crown resort and the best we have ever stay at. Are you just getting started? Is that why most of the forums have nothing in them?

This is a relatively new service. We have taken as many resorts as we currently have and made them instantly available for reviews. You do not need to upload anything. The choice of which resort(s) to review is completely yours; you're welcome to write as many reviews as you like. We will be happy to add the resort you noted as well. I'll post again when it is ready for reviews. Keep in mind that the reviews on this board offer something unique, not yet avaiable on other forums. We provide RSS (Really Simple Syndication) for each resort and make it possible to put resorts of interest on your "My Yahoo!" home page. This makes it easy for you to watch for new reviews and comments as well as makes the resort listing available on Yahoo's RSS directory. This is a growing realm of the Internet and it is our goal to utilize as many avenues as possible to increase traffic to this site. Beacuse we also hae a classifieds ad section (owner friendly), the increased traffic is paramount to the success of raising TimeshareGateway's awareness and acceptance in the market.

I forgot to mention, when you write a review, we publish it (or a summary of it) on our classifieds ads pages to help drive traffic to ads on the site. Fresh content is invaluable to a website, and our service is doing everything possible to bring readers to these sites.

I wanted to let you know that I checked our database and the resort Lawai Beach Resort is already listed in our resort review database. Here is a direct link to the resort http://www.timeshare-gateway.com/rev...hp?product=647. I think it was difficult to find since the search for Lawaii would result in a different set of results than for Lawai (only one "i").

If you want your review to show up on your resort page in the classifieds section, you must ensure to include both PROS, CONS, and the review summary. The summary must also be at least a couple of sentences. We appreciate any review, but need to maintain some consistency in our format to keep the site working well and looking complete.

We've made it even easier to post your review. If you are browsing our timeshare resorts by state or by timeshare resorts by country, you can now post your review by first clicking on "Reviews" at the top of each resort page, and then on the link that reads "Click Here to submit your review...".
It's that simple. The page that comes next allows you to quickly and conveniently enter Pros, Cons, and a detail section for what you like or dislike about each resort. Check out this resort page for Allegro Resort Nuevo Vallarta as an example. Of course, if you've been there, go ahead and submit a quick review of this resort. It makes for interesting reading for all of our visitors and you can remain completely anonymous if you choose. Don't forget the Pros and Cons; they're needed to populate our RSS feeds for resort reviews.
