Thumbs up TimeshareGateway.com in Review

TimeshareGateway.com in Review

This is the first topic posted on this board, but it has to get off the ground somewhere, right?
I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce our affiliate advertising website that offers a variation to the typical model for timeshare rentals and resales and to dispell some of the concerns about the concept of a pay-per-offer marketing model offered by TimeshareGateway.com http://www.timesharegateway.com, the companion site to this forum.
The key points and differentiators on this site are:
  1. There are no up-front payment details required to place your ad. The basis for most websites taking their advertising fee, however small, is pretty much the same accross the board, the fee is paid, and you wait to hear anything. Even if your ad on TimeshareGateway never yields a single offer, it probably took less than 5 minutes to register and place your ad, and you've paid nothing. This is looking at it from the worst case. I'll touch on the benefits further on in this topic.
  2. What makes TimeshareGateway.com different is the concept of a pay-per-offer system. What this effectively does is ensure that your ad generates some level of activity before any money is ever required to be paid. This is the part of the model that needs the most clarification as well. Each offer a timeshare owner receives for his rental or resale costs only $4.95.
    • What does this really mean?
An interested party must make a reasonable offer, and the amount they are interested in paying is a required part of the offer, so it is clear when the owner receives the offer notification what the intentions of the buyer or vacationer are.
    • What about the "low-ball offers"?
If a party submits an offer that in principal is not acceptable because the amount is too low, the owner can simply decline the offer without paying a dime. This function is built right into the private messaging system and is the key to adding value to this process. This is what makes the system unique, and compelling. The only time a fee is required is when the owner receives an offer from someone interested in discussing the details of their timeshare interest, and has already established that the price is in an agreeable range.
    • What about if the negotiations don't pan out?
Having brought an interested party to the table was the first step, completing the transaction will still take some discussion on your part. TimeshareGateway.com limits each ad's exposure to the possiblity of offers not being completed by limiting the total number of paid offers for each ad. Once the maximum number is reached, the ad automatically converts to "unlimited offers" for the balance of the subscription. This limits the total cost of the ad to less than $25 for an entire year's subscription. The ability for the owner to turn down unreasonable offers at no charge compliments the underlying objective of the site, which is to provide a secure, trusted environment for people to buy, sell, and rent timeshare, and provide real value for their advertising dollar.
This topic is posted with a poll. If you would like to offer your opinion, feel free to cast your vote. You are not limited to a single item, so feel free to choose as many as you like.
