Keep your Classfied Ad up to date!

We're at the end of January already if you can believe it! Time seems to accelerate every year.

Just a quick note to anyone with an ad online. It is a new year and if you placed an ad last year you probably want to update it to reflect the most accurate information possible. If your "USAGE STARTS" still reads 2005, it may be perceived as a "stale" ad and not get the attention it deserves.
All you need to do to update your ad is log into your seller account and click on the resort name of the ad you wish to update. You can then update the usage start field and save the ad.

Arrow Are you tring to sell a float week?

In addition to keeping your ad information up to date, including the "Usage" field which by now hopefully everyong has updated to reflect 2006 (we're a third of the way through the year, folks), I wanted to point out again that there are a couple of other important fields.
We set up a field specfically for sellers and renters of float weeks. Since float weeks do not always encompass all 53 weeks (Interval weeks) in a year, it is necessary to be able to properly reflect true availability in your ad. This reduces the number of empty inquiries since the vacationer or interested buyer can easily determine if the float weeks are in a range amenable to them.
So...make sure you use the field just below the "Float Week" indicator on your ad editor page and drop down below and type in the float interval. Acceptable ranges look something like, 1-25,39-48 or 1-40 or 1-52 (the latter showing your float week to be the most flexible and available year round).
We hope you find these tips useful!

Arrow No points, no sale!

Save yourself a lot of frustration by double checking your ad details. A quick purusal of the ads online show a number of them with errors. If you opted for the pay-per-offer plan, you will get more complete offers and less confusion and missed opportunities if you make sure all of the information on your ad is accurate.
For example, some have placed ads to sell or rent their "points", but have not indicated how many points they have available. This is only going to lead to confusion and frustration for both parties since it will require an inquiry from the buyer to find out. If the information on the ad is complete, this added step can be avoided.
Also, if you placed your ad in 2005 and offered it in 2005, you will want to update this information to reflect avaialbility this year. A simple bit of information like this can lead a potential buyer or rentere away since it would appear the information is out of date or the opportunity has passed.
