Arrow How to take advantage of our classifieds ads

If you're in the market to sell or rent your timeshare, the classifieds ads section of this site can be used to your advantage in a number of ways.
Even though it is a "by owner" resale classifieds website, there are ways to set up your ad and your profile to make it work for you and your resale agent. After all, you are either trying to sell or rent your timeshare by yourself, or you have enlisted the services of another company to do so for you. Using a self-service website to advertise your timeshare interest is quite straight forward. What I want to point out here are some things to consider if you have already enlisted the services (and paid) for a company to help you in your effort.
  • Register for a new account as a "seller". The link below will give you step by step instructions: http://www.timesharegateway.com/help...ail.php?id=205
  • Fill in the contact information in your profile, but instead of using your personal contact information, include the Name, Address, and Phone Number of the agent or resale company that is assisting you.
  • Place an ad to sell or rent your timeshare on our classifieds web site. http://www.timesharegateway.com/time...-timeshare.php If you choose the pay-per-offer program, it doesn't cost a dime until you get a legitimate offer that you wish to pursue.
  • When you get an offer and have chosen the pay-per-offer program, you can communicate with the interested party, and forward the information on to your agent. If you've chosen to pay for unlimited offers or a premium listing, the contact information for your agent will appear rather than your own. This gives you complete anonymity with the advantage of increased exposure for your timeshare interest.
  • An additional ad on the Internet can only help your effort to sell or rent your timeshare. Get the added advantage of knowing that your ad is actually working, and use the lead information to follow up with your agent. You stay out of the negotiaions, paperwork, and other details, while keeping a close watch on the other companies that you've engaged to service your request.
I hope this tip will be useful for you. Comments and feedback are always welcome.

I pretty much follow the advice of my TS brothers and sisters that say "never pay an upfront fee to sell TS." Generally there is little incentive to sell a TS with money already pocketed. However, this message doesn't reach everyone and there are thousands of people out this upfront fee. There is a rumor that these listing warehouses actually do have a broker in the back they can wake up if there is a response to a listing. Viewing the TSGateway ads according to what you've described here seems to at least present an opportunity to get something of value out of these outfits. I'm guessing if you drop a customer in their lap they would be obligated to close the sale? Or explain why they didn't supply the service they were paid for? Interesting.
