Exclamation YOU MUST READ THIS "IMPORTANT INFORMATION"

Dear Readers (Especially Anfi owners)
A friend of mine showed me an article featured in a very popular German magazine for all of the Canary Islands called "Info Canaries" about Anfi.
It explains how tour operators are making money sending people to Anfi Del Mar, the title says "The tourists-The saleable commodity". My friend explained most of it to me as he is German but I took it upon myself to have the whole article translated into English. I was amazed at what it says.
All Anfi owners, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!!!??
It goes on into detail about how Tour operators are ´selling´ us to places like Anfi and how much commission they are making but, even more important is the following:
Quote:
In Spain it's absolutely forbidden ( in accordance to the EC directive) to accept a deposit before or during the cooling off period. In the case where a deposit has been paid, the client can demand double the amount paid back according to his legal cancellation rights.
Quote:
This directive is very clear: If a deposit is taken within the first 10 days the contract is null and void, the client can claim his money back as well as double the amount he paid as a deposit
Since the directive was introduced there have been and are a couple of judgements which prove there are no exceptions to this ruling. Not even where the deposit was not paid to a trustee and not directly to the timeshare company.
Quote:
This illegal behavior of Anfi is as good for the clients as it is bad for Anfi: all contracts are null and void and can be reversed and where the clients paid a deposit they can ask for this to be repaid at twice the amount, a fact which has been accepted by the courts in various cases

We have been informed that a group of lawyers are already preparing a class action and you can find out more interesting information about this at the following web site: www.classactionuk.com
Now being an Anfi owner myself I contacted Jochen Hagel ( he is from Germany but is in the UK) and he advised me that as I have purchased after 1998 and paid a deposit, I do have a case and have legal rights to claim my money back. So guess what!? I went onto the web site classaction and am jumping on board along with my friend who is also an Anfi victim.
I hope this information has been of some help to other Anfi owners as it has been for me and my friend. Good luck to you all.
