Peformance problems identified
We have been investigating the performance of certain pages on our site and have identified the problem. We have temporarily disconinued the display of newsfeeds and random resorts on our forums page until this problem can be resolved. We expect to have the situation corrected within 48 hours.

One down, one to go
We've eliminated one problem and brought back the resort images and links to the home page. The news feeds will be back online within 24 hours.

Problem moved to alternate page
In order to continue to bring you travel news feeds, we have moved the travel news feeds to a new page and increased the number of feeds. We still aren't completely out of the woods, but the change allows the main pages to continue to perform at their optimal levels. This arrangement will serve us better in the long run either way, so when we resolve the performance issue on the travel news page, everything will be in good shape.

Better now
With a little elbow grease, we were able to elliminate the performance issues over the weekend. The effort resulted in us dividing the main page into a larger number of forum topics and a dedicated page for travel news. The link is in the upper right of the home page.
