Lightbulb Timeshare Auctions - See What's Coming!

We will soon be releasing a new section of the website dedicated to timeshare auctions. Want a sneak preview of our newest development? In order to try the system, you must be a registered user, which does not cost anything. Once registered, you can place an auction and take the whole thing for a test run. Auctions can last up to 60 days and you choose how long when you place the ad. Ads cannot currrently be relisted and we won't go "live" with our auctions until the relisting feature is available. Please keep this in mind when you place your free auction. The data you enter during this preview period will be lost at the end of your auction. We recommend choosing the 60 day auction for this reason. Once relisting an auction becomes avaialble, you will be able to freely choose how long you want each auction to run.

What will be cool about these auctions?
1. Load up to three of your own photos of your resort or area around the resort. Photo auctions will be featured in our recent auctions sections in relevant categories and on our forums home page. (One we're live, of course).
2. Auctions will have a user selectable time frame. Choose from 3 - 60 days to run your acution based on your needs. Please read our disclaimer above about this preview.
3. There will never be an auction ending fee for our auctions. Other sites like eBay and Bidshares charge an ending fee based on a combination of flat fees and percentage of the sale. We aren't going to charge these fees. The only cost, once we're live, will be a very small listing fee, i.e. $3.00/auction, or a choice of memberships which will entitle you to 1 or 5 auctions that can be run perpetually while a member in good standing. Our annual membership fees will be $10 and $20 respectively. So if you're thinking of renting your timeshare, or have multiple timeshare to sell or rent, you will be able to run consecutive auctions all year long for as little as $10.00/year.

We aren't live yet, but we welcome any feedback on this new system.
You can follow this link to start your auction, but you will have to register and log to our forums first.

There is a lot more information to come, but have a peek, and let us know your first thoughts. Until further notice the auctions are free; there are no fees to place an auction, nor any ending fees. Enjoy the preview, and we welcome any and all feedback!

Recent Auctions Added To Home Page

We've added a recent auctions section to our forums home page. We haven't completely released the section yet, but with this added section, you can see some immediate benefit from trying out the system; you'll actually get some FREE exposure while we finalize our testing. Give it a shot and, as always, we are anxious to get your feedback.

If you're wondering where to find this block of ads, just scroll to the bottom of the forums home page.

Talking Give our auctions a go! It easy, effective, and FREE!

The first time someone puts an auction online here they are going to be amazed by the exposure their ad is going to receive. Since first posting information about our timeshare auctions, we have enabled the feeds that now put each auction on the main resort page for this site. We also have a separate page just for our timeshare auctions. The most recent ads appear at the top of the list, and we currently list the top 50 ads. Our next effort will be to auctomatically create a post in our forums section for each new ad placed in our actions section. We are working out the last few details of this enhancement and hope to have it online very soon.
Someone suggested the other day that this sounds too good to be true, and that there must be a catch. Nope. No catch. Our aim is to make TSG a name that all timeshare users will recognize as the place for timeshare.

Thumbs up Almost home...

We've been waiting paitiently for the last feature (auto re-listing) to be added to our offering before formally launching our auction section. In anticipation of this much desired feature, we have added an RSS feed to our resort reviews. Member auctions are now featured along with our traditional classified ads for maximum exposure. Our resort review pages actually get the highest amount of traffic, so it only makes sense to put the information there that will be seen by the majority of our visitors.
Auctions will perform as well or better than our classified ads since they retain all the features of a traditional ad while adding a view counter and a more open forum for interested parties to ask questions and post their bids. There are no ending fees or commissions for our auctions, and until we formally launch this section, all auctions are currently free to place. Simply register as a member of our forum and you can start placing your ads.

Talking Auctions are alive and kicking...

We told you about this feature some time ago, and the changes we were waiting for in our program have all been implemented. Our auctions section will serve as a basis for members of our forums to place ads, and they will have the option to allow bidding or not. With bidding disabled, the ad will appear like a standard ad on our website.

We have added our auction listings to the resort drop down on our timeshare ads page to help increase the exposure of this new ad type. If you're considering placing an ad, keep in mind the resorts with auctions will be listed first on this list. This is just added exposure for our contributing members.

Other noteworthy features of our acutions are (these features are unique to our other ad program):
  1. New auctions will automatically have a thread started in our forums "Recent Posts" list on our forums home page.
  2. Auctions are listed first on every main resort page and resort review pages.
  3. Upload your own photos of your unit, resort, or area, as you see fit and make your ad unique and compelling.
  4. The most recent ads will be featured on our forums home page as "featured ads".
We continue to add value to this website and are garnering significant momentum on the Internet. Take advantage of our latest feature set to get your resort and your ad noticed.
