RCI is a disaster????

Well that is my current view!

They are so inflexible, they offer accm a year ahead and will not give details of flights, costs etc.

My home resort will not answer emails, phone calls or faxes yet RCI could not care less. (LHDV, Victorian House, Club Sabatini,starx Resorts, Club de Vacations in Sosua, Dominican Republic)

Filling in bad reports on resorts visited are not even looked at by RCI, and I suspect their printed forms, when returned, are just filed. (locations 7636 and 4881 in India)

When I have been asked to say, by email, what I think of their "service" I have, and in bad terms, but never even received a reply from them

Travel Insurance is more expensive than in the market, through them
Air Fares are also more expensive, yet I was told they would be cheaper!!

Getting nowhere fast, I asked to speak with a supervisor. Not available but would ring back in 30 minutes or so - well 2 weeks later I am STILL waiting!

I think a lot of people will be SOL. Insurance might be our only option, Of coarse they now have that covered so all the money goes in there pockets.

I know what you are saying and in some respects I agree with you.. However, the organization has not time to mess with you. Your a guy who thinks a louse 10 or 4K down is enough money to receive the 5 star treatment? No it isn't.. Your dealing with a time share outfit that simply does anything to make a sale and you should have known this in the interview.. Deal only with the guys who have built and own and have established resorts and you won't be so upset about your vacations..I have been with the Grand Mayan resort in MX, for 5 years and we have had only success even with RCI of which ( I believe) Grand Mayan is the owner as well...
