One of the key objectives of our classifieds website was to expose resale and rental inventory in an equitable manner, an approach that could be embraced by timeshare resales brokers, commissioned agents, and other "paid" websites.
It is with great anticipation that we are now one step closer to realizing this objective. We have recently completed our "Upload Tool" that will make it much easier for resale agencies to get their inventory greater exposure, with no initial cost. There are so many websites competeting for the top spot that you have to wonder who's really winning in this race. I say Google, Yahoo, MSN, and the search engine marketers are! The casual vacationer must wade through hundreds of websites to find the precise vacation spot and availability. Our objective is to provide an equitable solution to every timeshare resale agency by creating a results based program that everyone can use with ease. The intended result is a concentrated source of available resorts, and a central repository for each agency to manage their inventory, even if they continue to maintain their website. This will benefit the industry as a whole by focusing the marketing dollars on trasactions involving sales and rentals, and not on promoting every website to the top. The money spent every year on this effort is massive; a results based website will bring equity to this process.
With the introduction of this new tool, resale agents will now be invited to load their inventory onto our database. They remain the contact for the inventory, they pay nothing to list their inventory, and their marketing costs for each unit will be proportional with the amount of "interest" generated from the website.
