Mazatlan Attorney for LaJolla Scam

Hope that Attorney I have been handing out isn't too busy to take my case!! Looks like my time with Profecco helping has ran out. Guess it is time for me to hire this Attorney. Good luck to ALL of us. We can't let LaJolla keep scamming people.

Guess Profecco is done with my claim. They say the Representative from La Jolla asked to close my claim becuase we didn't accept their offer. Ridiculous offer I might add. So they did.
I am now going thru an Attorney in Mazatlan. This is crazy. Guess my advice now would have to be, don't waste your time going thru Profecco, just hire an Attorney.

LaJolla

We are just learning that we have been lied to by the LaJolla staff as well. We are RCI members, and after we declined to purchase with them, they brought out the big guns and said they would purchase our RCI timeshare for a huge amount of money $46,900 because they wanted to use it to entice others to come to their resort. They said the sale transaction can take 90 days.

Having heard nothing, we began to call/email and were told by Phoenix Vacation Property Management and were told that they were "trying" to sell our timeshare and also these couple of weeks at LaJolla for $1500 each, but haven't gotten a buyer yet. So... they were not "buying" our RCI timeshare, however they set it up with Phoenix to "try" to resell it for us. Of course we would not purchase from LaJolla since we already own at RCI, but were told they were "purchasing" it.

This is unbelieveable! Complete Liars!! Fraudulent. We may have to get the Canadian government involved in this in order to put a stop to it. We all work hard for our $$, the same as they do, and we should not be lied to and stolen from while on vacation. They have to be professional scam artists. Mazatlan is going to get a very very bad reputation, likewise LaJolla.

La Jolla Resort Mazatlan Scam - Beware

On April 14, 2010, my wife & I attended a presentation at Resort Lajolla, Mazatlan. They sold us a Points program for $13,650. The determining factor was their promise to sell/assume ownership of our Mesa, AZ timeshare in 90 days, or they would return all mney deposited. One year later, all attempts to have our money refunded have been futile. Their only response is that we signed a contract in Mexico and any efforts to retrieve our money would be through the local courts. We filed with PROFECO and our case will be presented on June 11. Efforts to resolve this with Bank of America have been useless. They fail to respond to either my attorney or to myself. I am contacting Sen Tim Johnson, Chair of the Senate Banking Committee, seeking his assistance in helping the many who have been involved is this fradulent program. My contacts at LaJolla included Mr Alfredo Maarq, who claimed to be a partial owner; Francisco Kelly, Asst. to the owner; Jesse, on-site manager. Attempts to contact these individuals are futile as they do not respond to email requests. Visitors to Mazatlan, BEWARE OF ANY DEALINGS WITH lA jOLLA.

We were approached at Stone Island, from someone looking for people to go to the "new" unfinished La Holla, which is right up the street from Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay (where we have our timeshare). It seemed like alot of the usual BS and they even said they would but our current timeshare, but long and short was suppose to be a $60,000 investment. Took the $200 they offered to go there and ran!

Unhappy La Jolla - Need Help

Hi
My story is very similar to many of yours on this forum. In April 2011 we signed a fractional points agreement for 4 weeks a year with La Jolla. We were told within 30- 45 days from signing we will get a check in the mail with someone to buy or weeks that we aren't using. Never happened.
La Jolla directed us to Phoenix marketing agency who had no idea who we were when we called to check up on the situation. La Jolla never gave them our paper work. After going back and forth between the two companies our paper work was finally filed. But Phoenix made it clear they don't sell our weeks for sure - they put them in a pool of inventory and it is a possibility. Nothing has happened. La Jolla PROMISED our weeks would be sold.
Since April of 2011 we have gone back and forth and have spent so much time, money and energy on this horrible experience. I just want out of the whole deal but I am not sure what more steps to take.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thank you so much.
