Thumbs down agency scam

I put my Panorama (switzerland) timeshare up for sale and and instantly received representations from around the world all offering personalised service. I chose Travel and Leisure Group of the UK. What a mistake. Ten months ago they made all sorts of deals to secure my account - advertising, agressive sales representations, auctions etc. Nothing happened, except my loss of GBP 195 for advertising charges.

I checked this out. One advertisement appeared in Britain's Daily Mail on April 1, 2010 along with more than 200 other timeshare unites up for sale. It was a one liner. Now, assuming they all paid GBP 195, total revenue would be more than GBP 40,000. And a full page colour advert in the Daily Mail is GBP 31,000 - a neat profit to Travel and Leisure of GBP 9,000! What a rip off.

The saga continues. So Travel and Leisure calls up, says that they have had a few nibbles for my Panorama pad, but my contract has expired and to get into an auction the following weekend in Norway I should pay up BGP110 (discounted from the original GBP 195 after I haggled) to register. Suck-me paid up to meet the deadline. I've heard nothing from them since. And that was more than a month ago. Nor could I find any evidence of the auction in Norway. What a mod of crooks!
