We ended up at this resort by accident, The initial reaction is one of joy as the reception area and foyer with its decor and boutiques is 5* plus. However, the apartment was tatty and in need of redecoration and the resort is almost entirely French speaking. All activities are in French and the other guests are french regulars who return year after year and behave just as they would in France just with more sunshine. We only met two English speakers one who worked on reception and the man that ran the supermarket. they, thank god, where incredibly helpful! the restaurant was closed, and the nearest one although only 800metres away, is far too dangerous to walk to in the evening as there is no pavement!! you must hire a car if you stay here as the resort is at least a 15 euro taxi ride away from anything. This was not a problem at first as we had been led to believe that everything we needed was on site. I am NOT a xenophobe and do not go on holiday expecting to find only english food and speakers but any attempt to use my school girl french with other guests was met with contempt and I soon stopped trying. On one day I made a point of smiling and saying bonjour to 20 people not once did I receive a smile or word in reply. there was only one swimming pool open, not 2 and a childrens pool as we had been told and this is fairly deep for children, there is about 6ft square that they can actually touch the bottom in so you have to be extra vigilant even if they can swim, no ball games or inflatables are allowed in this pool so its straight swimming only with your children!!. The supermarket does great ready meals which you can heat in your apartment (french) but you have to order them in advance, you have to clean the apartment yourself, there is no maid service and you are charged if you don't. Cooking, shopping and cleaning are the 3 things I have no intention of doing on holiday!!! My recomendation is that unless you are French, give it a very Wide berth!!
