Because Sea Pines Plantation is located between two historical cities--Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina-- many tours are available. The plantation occupies 5,500 acres on the southernmost tip of the island. Amenities include three golf courses (rates vary with season), and 43 tennis courts (there is no charge to play on the hard-surface courts during daylight hours) at the Sea Pines Racquet Club (proper tennis attire required). Other activities include bicycling on 17 miles of trails, horseback riding through the scenic preserve, and strolling along sandy beaches.
