The Alaska Maritime Refuge Center offers natural displays, a small theater, guided bird walks, and children's programs. The Spit is a five-mile-long needle of land that extends into Kachemak Bay. Upon its shores, you will find various shops and restaurants. Distance is 10 miles. There is a helipad on site for hunting, fishing, and skiing trip pick up.
