The extensive park and gardens feature a wide variety of native and foreign plant species as well as a 45-foot natural waterfall. July through September, skiing is a favorite activity; Bariloche has one of the largest and most beautiful skiing areas in South America, along with popular tourist and nighlife attractions, including casinos, restaurants, and discos. Cast a line during November when the fishing season begins (special trout and salmon fishing available). February is hunting season. Summer offers nautical sports, horseback riding, golf, and more.
