Classic Narrowboats are based at Barton Turns Marina, which is connected to the Trent and Mersey canals. It is a purpose built marina, with moorings for up to 300 crafts, within the designated National Forest. The project will provide on-site health and leisure centre, with a swimming pool. Also a hotel,numerous restaurants and shops.Places of interest within easy driving distance include Tutbury Castle, open air market,Georgian crystal and glass blowing factory shop. There are also brewery tours, Bass Museum and Brewhouse Art centre which has a gallery, cinema, bistro and live entertainment.
